Sienna Spiro becomes the first ELAM alumna to reach number one
Great Expectation tops the Official Singles Chart, making Sienna the youngest British female artist to land a UK number one since 2014.
ELAM alumna Sienna Spiro has scored her first UK number one. Her single Great Expectation went to the top of the Official Singles Chart on 11 September 2026, making Sienna the first ELAM graduate to reach number one with a single.
At 20, she is also the youngest British female artist to top the chart in twelve years, the first since Becky Hill in July 2014. Great Expectation is taken from her debut album, Visitor. The song entered the Top 40 in July and climbed steadily before reaching the top, where it stayed for three consecutive weeks.
A remarkable year
It caps an extraordinary 2026 for Sienna. She was nominated for the Critics’ Choice award at the BRIT Awards and performed at the Royal Albert Hall in May as part of the celebrations for Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday. Her earlier singles include the Top 10 hit Die On This Hill.
Sienna studied music at ELAM, where students learn alongside working artists, producers and industry partners. Everyone at Day One Trust is incredibly proud of her, and we can’t wait to see what comes next.
