The Creative Educators Network launches
Building on the success of the Film & TV Educators Network, a new home for teachers across film and TV, games, and sound and music.

Day One Trust has launched the Creative Educators Network, the UK’s professional community for teachers and school leaders across the creative arts.
The network builds on the Film & TV Educators Network, which started at London Screen Academy and has grown into a community of around 1,000 educators across the UK. Through events, training, webinars and an annual conference, it has helped teachers bring industry practice into their classrooms, including putting smartphone filmmaking kits and training into schools across the country.
Three networks, one community
The Creative Educators Network now brings together three subject networks, each with its own community and programme:
Film & TV Educators Network: the established network for screen educators.
Games Educators Network: new, drawing on ELAM’s expertise and industry partnerships in games design.
Sound and Music Educators Network: launching soon.
Together they offer a shared voice for creative educators, with professional development, curriculum thinking and resources, routes into industry, and advocacy on policy and curriculum. The network is led by Director Jamie Waller, who founded the Film & TV Educators Network.
Membership is free. Upcoming events include a fully funded CPD day on sustainability and accessibility in the screen industries in London on 4 November, and Elevating Student Productions in Greater Manchester on 19 November.
